About Marni
Background
Originally from Riverdale, New York, Marni attended Emory University, where she was an active member of the Tri Delta sorority and graduated with a B.A. in History. She later raised her children in Wilton, Connecticut, where she spent many years as a dedicated soccer and dance mom. Now, with Lexi attending the University of Connecticut, and her youngest Sasha attending Penn State University, Marni is embracing life as an empty nester, apart from her dog, Oreo.
She enjoys playing tennis, traveling, working out, attending live music events and art galleries, and spending time with friends and family.
Experience
Earlier in her career, Marni worked in New York City as a trader on several retail fixed-income trading desks, including at Lebenthal & Company and Advest, Inc., where she specialized in CDs and Unit Investment Trusts. She later served as a mutual fund coordinator at Lebenthal.
During her time at Lebenthal, Marni received the firm’s Employee of the Year award for developing an investment swap proposal that generated increased income for client accounts and additional revenue for the firm during a volatile period in the fixed-income markets.
Following the birth of her first child, Lexi, which coincided with Advest getting acquired, Marni transitioned from trading to working directly with retail clients at several firms in Fairfield County, Connecticut, serving as both a relationship manager and financial advisor.
